What’s my old BMX bike worth?

Many BMX groups have not allowed members to discuss or get valuations of BMX bikes or parts from other members, not wanting to be party to lengthy debates that go on forever with members disagreeing with each other. The other issue has been people over-inflating a value to sell at the highest possible price. Moderators quickly shut down these threads stopping people from adding to the discussion. Sure there are new groups that do allow for opinions on sale price, but that’s just it, they are opinions.

So how do you find out what your BMX is roughly worth?

Watch the ‘What’s my BMX bike worth?’ Weekly video post on YouTube.

As a general rule, the true value of something is only the amount someone is willing to pay.

Fo years I’ve watched BMX bikes and parts sell on eBay Australia, and watching final sale prices is a great way to see what things are worth this in real time.

Originally this lead to a regular post on the blog, however now I have moved this over to our YouTube Channel for a regular weekly wrap up of the sale prices of BMX bikes that have recently sold on eBay.

Watch the ‘What’s my BMX bike worth?’ Weekly video post on YouTube.

All price watching will be done on eBay Australia and I’ll include photos and as much detail about the bikes and parts as I can.

The idea of these video posts is to help you get a rough idea on what to sell your BMX bike or part for. If you are interested in buying a BMX bike or part you’ll be able to see what a recent example sold for.

The above link takes you to the full post playlist with each weeks post ready to watch.

So you can see these posts regularly, I suggest you subscribe to our YouTube channel with notifications on. That way you will receive a notification when each video drops.

I can never know about every BMX for sale, so if you spot an interesting bike that is up on eBay for auction, notify me by email and i’ll include it in the next video.

For BMX parts and decals go to shop.re-rides.com.

  1. Great idea, it would be good to see which bikes appreciate at the fastest rate relative to others. Personally I’m a Raleigh fan and reckon they are still good value.
