Complete and unrestored bikes were again the main feature in March. If you’re willing to put in the time to restore there were a couple of great buys. The 1987 Hotfoot 24 Cruiser was definitely the pick for just over $150, although the smokey chrome frames are very hard to restore and usually need to be re-finished. Although the Redline had a cracked frame, the parts on it were great and well worth the $180+ paid.
The big surprise for me was seeing the ALPS cruiser bars sell. I had a set of these that came with my 87 Hotfoot 24. I had no idea they were so rare and valuable. Unfortunately let mine go in April for $70. Kicking myself.
Complete BMX sales included a cracked Old School Redline with Araya Rims and a 1987 Hotfoot 24 Cruiser. Parts sales included a 95 Haro Sport Bashguard frame and fork, 87 Haro Master frame and fork and old school ALPS Japan made Cruiser Bars.
All BMX Sale Prices have been taken directly from eBay Australia during March 2015. This post is intended for use as a valuation guide for selling or purchasing second hand, old BMX bikes and parts.
